Hotsheep Tickets Terms & Conditions
These terms and conditions may be amended from time to time and apply to all of our services.
By accessing, browsing, using and/or completing a reservation through our (mobile) website, you acknowledge and agree to have read, understood and agreed to be legally bound to the terms and conditions set out below. No contract should be entered into existence without Hot Sheep receiving full payment of services.
HotSheep tickets is a reseller. HotSheep offers a wide variety of tours and experiences operated by other companies that will hereafter be referred to as the operators.
The tour operators reserve the right to change the itineraries should they find it necessary, due to adverse weather or other unsafe conditions. The operators are not responsible for expenses or other related costs due to factors outside of its control, such as flight delays, changes and or cancellations, injuries, weather, war, natural disasters etc or other unforeseeable events.
You are responsible for entering correct information and details so the operator can inform you of changes made to the services.
1. Prices
Please note that all services provided by HotSheep tickets are in the icelandic local currency ISK and all charges will be made in ISK, the other currencies are estimates based on the exchange rates from the central bank of Iceland, this is only to help you understand the approximate price.. HotSheep is not responsible for currency fluctuations, bank transfer fees, credit card fees and etc. Keep in mind that your card issuer might charge you a foreign transaction fee.
All prices include icelandic VAT.
Control of pricing is in the hands of the individual operator and if any disputes may arise because of pricing, the terms and conditions of the operator apply.
2. Pick up and drop off services
The operators offer pickup and drop off services for most tours. Read the tour description and itinerary very carefully to see if the pickup and dropoff services are included in the price. In some cases it can be added to the price and in some cases it will be included.
You are responsible for being at the right time and the right stop as stated in the order. You the traveller are responsible for providing the operator with the correct information on where you should be picked up. You are also responsible for being at the correct place at the correct time. The operator will provide information about your pickup time. If you are unsure please contact the operator of the tour, the contact information will be available on the top right area of your ticket.
During the booking process, you will be able to choose a pickup location and time. Please note that if you do not show up for the scheduled pickup time and location stated on your booking, your reservation is non-refundable.
3. Meet on location
If you are meeting on location for the tour or experience please read the description of the tour.
You are responsible for arriving on time and at the right place and will not be entitled to a refund if you are late or at the wrong place. It is your (the customer) responsibility to contact the operator if you are unsure of where to meet and at what time.
4. Travel insurance
We always recommend buying travel insurance in your home country.
5. Icelandic weather and conditions
All tours and activities are dependent on weather conditions. The operator reserves the right to change itineraries, routes, departure times & or cancel your trip without prior notice, ensuring safety for customers.
Weather in Iceland can change really quickly and become unsafe. The operators have especially trained personnel to deal with changing conditions. Please respect and be mindful of the operators authority to change tours or itineraries with your safety in mind during tours/activities. This is especially applicable in winter weather conditions.
HotSheep will not be held responsible for any loss, damage, accident, injury, sickness, schedule change or other factors due to weather, strike, natural disaster or any other cause beyond it’s control. HotSheep is not responsible for delays in other parts of the travellers schedule operated by other organisations which are not in collaboration with HotSheep.
6. Clothing
The operators reserve the right to refuse participation in events or activities if the customer is dressed inappropriately according to weather or other conditions. All tours/activities have recommended clothing and the customer understands that it is his responsibility read and understand the recommended attire for each tour/activity.
In many cases you can rent extra clothing or equipment and the customer understands that this must be arranged in advance.
7. Luggage
Hotsheep or the operator is not responsible for luggage which is taken on tours and activities.
8. Risk and Outdoor activities
You, the customer understands that partaking in outdoor activities and tours carries inherent risks, and the customer must behave in a proper and responsible manner according to guidelines set by the operator. HotSheep or the operator does not assume any responsibility for accidents that are caused by its customers or can be traced to their own actions, or are caused by factors outside of human control (force majeure). Purchasing a trip, tour, acitivity with HotSheep you agree to these conditions, understand it’s implications and accept responsibility for your participation in your tour or activity with HotSheep or it’s operators. Some tours may require additional liability releases being signed prior to departure.
The operator reserves the full right to refuse participation of the customer if he/she feels it would be unsafe for the customer or others in the group to carry on. In such cases full cancellation fees are applied.
Verbal abuse or behaving in a threatening manner will not be tolerated and customers will be removed from tours activities and full cancellation fees applied.
9. Alcohol and drugs
HotSheep and the operators reserve the right to refuse participation if the participant is believed to be under the influence of drugs or alcohol where the customer is putting him/herself or other members of the tour in danger. Also if the tour guide believes the customer is offensive to other members of the tour. No refund will be paid.
10. Complaints and refunds
All complaints must go to the operator of the tour/activity. HotSheep is the reseller and will not be held responsible for events occurring during the tour. Refunds will not be issued until HotSheep has been informed to do so from the operator of the tour.
11. Payment
HotSheep accepts all major credit and debit cards. Full payment is required upon booking.
12. Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms and conditions are in accordance with Icelandic Law and shall be construed and governed by Icelandic law.
Any disputes arising out or in connection with this agreement shall exclusively be submitted to and dealt with by the district court of Reykjavík.
